Welcome to the American Fork Pressurized Irrigation Project Web Site

In the fall of 2006, the voters of American Fork City approved a $47 million General Obligation bond to implement a city-wide pressurized irrigation system. This approval will allow the City to better utilize its current water resources and provide for future water needs. The City has since selected a team of engineering consultants to design the system and assist the City in construction. Team members consist of Horrocks Engineers, Franson Civil Engineers, and Hansen, Allen, & Luce Engineers.

Construction began in the fall of 2007 and several key milestones have been reached. The Opening Ceremony of the Lower Reservoir was held during the Steel Days celebration in July 2009. This event marked 70% completion for the entire AFPI system. The winter of 2009-2010 marked the completion of 90% of the project.  The three remaining elements to complete include the Upper Reservoir and two small clean-up packages where contractors will implement final touches to make the AFPI system run more smoothly. These final three items will be completed by the end of summer 2010.

These final construction elements will have minimum impact to residents.  We will contine to do all we can to keep residents informed of construction activites and minimize the disturbance.

This Web site will provide information about the project. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

The American Fork Pressurized Irrigation Project Team
